Job description

We are seeking a hands-on, General Manager to lead our garage door distribution center operations. This is a key leadership role where you will own the success of the facility, driving operational excellence, financial performance, team development, and customer satisfaction.
The ideal candidate has a strong entrepreneurial spirit, someone who thrives on taking initiative, finding opportunities for growth, and continuously improving processes. You enjoy building strong teams, leading from the front, and seeing the direct results of your leadership every day.
Key Responsibilities
  1. Operational Leadership:
  • Execute company-defined operational processes with speed, accuracy, and innovation.
  • Oversee all warehouse operations: receiving, inventory management, fulfillment, and shipping.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce costs, scrap, and damage.
  • Ensure a safe, clean, and compliant facility by enforcing all company and OSHA standards.

  1. Financial & Business Management:
  • Take full P&L ownership of the distribution center.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance profitability through smarter workflows, resource planning, and operational improvements.
  • Conduct proactive sales outreach and customer engagement to grow revenue.
  • Use data and KPIs to measure performance and drive decisions aligned with business goals.

  1. Team Leadership:
    • Recruit, coach, and lead a team of warehouse, delivery, and office personnel.
  •  Foster a culture of accountability, safety, teamwork, and empowerment.
  • Inspire your team by leading by example, setting clear expectations, and recognizing high performance.
  • Develop future leaders by mentoring and growing internal talent.

  1. Customer & Market Focus:
  • Build strong relationships with customers through responsiveness, service excellence, and problem-solving.
  • Act as the face of the distribution center with a strong focus on customer experience and long-term partnerships.
  • Take a proactive approach to resolving customer concerns and ensuring a smooth delivery experience.
  • Work closely with the sales team to communicate and understand market pricing dynamics and customer concerns.
Required Qualifications:
  • Minimum 3 years of warehouse or distribution center management experience.
  • Demonstrated success managing budgets, P&L statements, and logistics operations.
  • Proven ability to motivate, lead, and develop teams in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills — especially in customer-facing settings.
  • Experience working with external customers.
  • Mechanically inclined with working knowledge of hand and power tools.
  • College degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
Working Conditions:
  • Fast-paced, high-volume distribution environment.
  • Non-climate-controlled warehouse with frequent lifting (50–75 lbs.), standing, and manual labor.
  • Requires attention to detail, accuracy, and adaptability to shifting priorities.
What We’re Looking for:
  • A natural leader with a strong sense of ownership and pride in performance.
  • A self-starter who thrives in an environment where you’re empowered to make decisions.
  • A problem-solver and innovator who’s not afraid to challenge the status quo.
  • Someone who leads by example, communicates clearly, and builds strong teams and customer relationships.

If you're ready to take charge of a growing distribution center and thrive in an environment that rewards initiative, accountability, and leadership, we invite you to apply and grow with us.
