Job Purpose

Within authorized authority, HFCU policy, state and federal law, this position provides expertise in underwriting, structuring, documenting, approving or denying member loan requests for all non-real estate loans including credit cards, personal loans, boat, RV, auto and indirect loans. 
Key Accountabilities.

Key Accountabilities
  • Underwrite loan applications by reviewing member information, analyzing credit bureaus, verifying collateral value, and determining the overall ability for the member to repay
  • Review and decision indirect loan applications with professional and courteous dealer interaction
  • Provide timely cross-sale information, counter offers, credit line reviews/closures to internal team
  • Ongoing education and training
Qualifications, Experience, and Skills
  • High school diploma or General Education degree
  • Two years related experience and/or relevant training
  • Working knowledge of state and federal Lending regulations
  • Computer skills: knowledge of Microsoft office suite
  • Reasoning ability to structure loan offers, understand regulations, policies and procedures
  • Member service and communication skills
  • Negotiation skills
  • Analytics and creative reasoning
