Job Summary: Assembler 1, General
Location: Sumter, SC 29153 | Contractor | 3 Positions Available
Pay Rate: $15.90/hr | G Shift (3-2-2-3 Schedule, 12-hour shifts, 8am-8pm)
About the Role
Join BD, a global leader in medical technology, as an Assembler 1 in our climate-controlled facility. Play a vital part in supporting healthcare innovation by operating and optimizing production equipment within our Sharps Department. This hands-on role is ideal for those with a strong work ethic, consistent employment history, and a passion for quality manufacturing.
Responsibilities
- Operate, optimize, and changeover assigned production equipment to meet/exceed daily standards
- Conduct quality checks and maintain accurate production, downtime, and quality records
- Pack and label products precisely according to specifications
- Notify technical personnel promptly of equipment malfunctions
- Use SAP to manage batch numbers and ensure accurate product identification
- Uphold safety, environmental, and Quality System Requirements (QSR) at all times
- Maintain general housekeeping throughout each shift
- Support daily operational success as a proactive team member
Required Skills and Experience
- Minimum 1-2 years of consistent work history in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- High School Diploma or GED
- Proficiency with basic hand tools
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted
- Dependable, strong work ethic, and reliable attendance
- Willingness to work 12-hour shifts on a rotational schedule
- Eye exam required; must wear steel toe or composite shoes
