Job description

Summary

We are representing a reputable and growing General Contractor seeking an experienced Commercial / Multifamily Superintendent to lead field operations on projects in the Eugene, OR area.

This role is ideal for a hands-on construction leader who thrives in managing ground-up and renovation projects while maintaining strong control over safety, quality, schedule, and subcontractor coordination. The ideal candidate brings proven experience in commercial and multifamily construction and understands how to drive projects from mobilization through final closeout.

This is a long-term opportunity with a strong pipeline of work in the local market.


Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all on-site construction activities from groundbreaking through project completion

• Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, field crews, inspectors, and vendors

• Develop and maintain short-term look-ahead schedules to ensure milestone achievement

• Enforce jobsite safety protocols and maintain OSHA compliance

• Conduct daily jobsite walks to monitor quality, sequencing, and productivity

• Interpret and implement project drawings, specifications, and contract documents

• Coordinate inspections with local jurisdictions and ensure compliance with building codes

• Maintain daily logs, progress reports, and documentation in project management software

• Manage punch list processes and ensure timely project closeout

• Collaborate closely with Project Managers to monitor budget, manpower planning, and schedule impacts

• Maintain positive relationships with clients, consultants, and project stakeholders


Project Experience

• Ground-up commercial construction

• Multifamily developments (market-rate and affordable housing)

• Mixed-use or tenant improvement projects

• Wood-frame, podium, or mid-rise construction experience preferred

• Projects ranging from approximately $5M–$30M+


Qualifications

• 5–10+ years of experience as a Superintendent with a General Contractor

• Proven experience completing commercial and/or multifamily projects from start to finish

• Strong understanding of construction sequencing, building systems, and site logistics

• Ability to manage multiple subcontractors and maintain schedule discipline

• Experience with Procore or similar construction management software preferred

• Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills

• Ability to work independently and make sound field decisions

• Valid driver’s license
