Job Overview

RMC Facilities Services, Inc. is looking for a hands-on, detail-oriented Assistant Commercial Construction Project Supervisor (Tenant Improvement) to oversee day-to-day operations at construction sites throughout Southern California. This full-time role is ideal for someone with working knowledge of construction trades, scheduling, and site managementespecially those who thrive in dynamic environments that include night and weekend work. As a Project Supervisor, youll be the boots-on-the-ground leader ensuring quality craftsmanship, subcontractor coordination, and jobsite safety while keeping projects on time and within scope.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and manage tenant improvement (TI) projects including carpeting replacement, furniture moving, and interior painting from start to completion.

  • Manage daily field operations at job sites, ensuring work aligns with project schedules and quality standards

  • Communicate effectively with clients, subcontractors, and internal team members

  • Conduct quality control checks and ensure contractor compliance with safety regulations

  • Lead and document daily safety meetings and maintain a safe work environment

  • Monitor and document job progress using daily reports and photos

  • Review project plans, subcontractor scopes, RFIs, and submittals

  • Coordinate inspections and communicate with city officials as required

  • Travel between multiple job sites during day or night shifts

  • Secure permits when needed and ensure all site requirements are met

  • Identify and resolve field issues to keep the project on track

  • Provide direct support to Project Managers and escalate issues when necessary

Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in construction or field supervision

  • High school diploma or GED required

  • Solid understanding of commercial construction trades and terminology

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications

  • Familiar with OSHA safety standards and site compliance procedures

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with MS Project a plus

  • Available for night and weekend work as required

  • Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills

  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently

  • A professional review and drug screening will be completed as part of the onboarding process, in compliance with applicable laws.
