Contractor Sap Security Officer - Apprentice

MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Contractor SAP Security Officer - Apprentice to join our team in Huntsville, AL. The Contractor SAP Security Officer - Apprentice will leverage their strong technical background and knowledge to support the Sponsor's system accreditation efforts, to include creating Body of Evidence (BOE) documentation, responding to/implementing/documenting required controls, and completing required tasks/actions.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Assist the CPSO-J with all facets of SAP initiative security management (including personnel, physical, information, industrial, and SCI), while controlling visitor ingress/egress and interfacing directly with senior-level government and corporate officials.
  • Assisting in the preparation for and conduct of security oversight inspections while ensuring facility compliance with all policies and directives.
  • Providing SAP and SCI security guidance and oversight to defense contractors and assisting in the development of security plans and procedures for safeguarding classified information.
  • Presenting indoctrination, debrief, and refresher training for program briefed personnel regarding obligations to protect classified information.
  • Experience meeting security requirements within the Sponsor's or similar environments, to include supporting multi-disciplined security programs for complex acquisition SAP efforts and maintaining mandated office files, media inventories, destruction materials, secure communications, and courier duties.
  • Performing Program Indoctrinations and debriefings, to include reviewing, coordinating, and tracking all PARs within JADE, and verifying Program Access Rosters.
  • Experience working across a large team to drive a security agenda, coordinate conference room meetings, and perform general clerical duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field; an additional 4 years of direct experience might be substituted for a degree
  • 1+ years of broad general security experience
  • Basic knowledge of Personnel, Industrial, Physical, and Information Systems Security disciplines.
  • Ability to travel to both CONUS and OCONUS locations as required to support mission goals.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP certification).
  • Experience with the Sponsor's primary cyber risk and compliance automation tools.
  • Self-starter with excellent people skills - able to work across teams, organize meetings/boards, and drive change throughout an organization.

Clearance Requirements:

  • An active TS/SCI; SAP Access Approval

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
  • Frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering.
