Job description

Leapros Skilled Trades is actively hiring General Construction Laborers in Akron, OH. As a trusted partner in the construction industry, we connect top talent with top companies across the United States.

Job Type: Contract
Pay: $20 to $25 per hour, DOE

Responsibilities & Qualifications:

  • General Labor
  • Basic electrical
  • Pulling wire
  • Load, unload, and identify building materials, machinery, and tools. Distribute site materials to the appropriate locations, according to project plans and specifications. Responsible for ensuring that all materials are properly distributed, and the site is swept and well maintained.
  • Promote a safe work environment and communicate jobsite hazards. This includes helping to secure the jobsite at the end of business each day and verifying that all site materials are properly stored.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to talk or hear, sit, stand, bend, stoop, stretch, twist, use hands, and/or reach out for prolonged periods of time
  • Must have manual dexterity, a good sense of balance, and excellent hand-eye coordination
  • Use their hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls
  • Must be able to climb stairs, ladders, and poles.
  • Must be able to work in inclement weather conditions
  • Must be able to work around wood dust and fumes
  • Maybe exposed to heights and loud noises
  • Ability to lift and carry items up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be aware of OSHA safety standards

Pay Transparency: A reasonable estimate of the available hourly pay scale for this position is $20 to $25 per hour. The actual compensation offered may vary depending on qualifications and other factors essential to the performance of duties and is determined by the hiring authority.
