Construction Carpenter Job Summary

We have an immediate opening for an experienced Construction Carpenter/builder. You must be proficient with industry tools, such as hammers, screwdrivers, tape measures, and speed squares. We expect you to bring your own equipment to each project site. Our ideal candidate is reliable, arrives on time, and has experience with general carpentry tasks, including framing, hanging doors and windows, installing rails, kitchens and bathrooms, concrete finishing, siding and tile work. You also need to be able to lift more than 35 pounds and follow company safety regulations at all times. Some travel and overtime are required.

Construction Carpenter Duties and Responsibilities

  • Arrive on time to each project site
  • Load and unload necessary equipment and materials
  • Review plans and blueprints to ensure you understand the scope of the project
  • Hang doors and windows and install framing and rails
  • Communicate with other construction team members to ensure accuracy of tasks
  • Clean area and store equipment when the project is complete

Construction Carpenter Requirements and Qualifications

  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • Completed a carpentry training program or apprenticeship (preferred)
  • Proficient with industry tools and carpentry techniques

We are a small residential construction company that most general does remodeling. We are looking to expand into some new construction homes. We are a general contractor which makes the job site more organized based on not relying on other trades. We have a great team of subs for electrical, hvac and plumbing. Every other aspect of the job is completed by us. We strive to make the work site a enjoyable atmosphere. We always try to have fun at work while staying professional.
