Job: District Carpenter

Contracted Days: 255 days

Salary: Dependent on years of experience and skill level

Reports To: Director of Maintenance and Transportation 

Hours: 40 hours a week

Requirements: 

-HS Diploma or equivalent (Technical training or on the job training in carpentry is preferred) 

-Successfully pass a background check

Job Description:

  1. This position is general carpentry and will require someone to build, construct, and alter materials to help secure and improve facilities
  2. General maintenance skills that make require lifting objects, repairing small items, and possibly lawn care
  3. Locksmith skills are preferred
  4. Have good punctuality and a positive attitude
  5. Solid work ethic and trusted to carry out unsupervised tasks at times
  6. Any other duties directed by the supervisor that relate to the maintenance and repair of Wayne County facilities
