CASMAN, a trusted home builder, is looking for skilled and experienced Residential Carpenters to join our team for the Jasper Rebuild.

As a Casman Residential Carpenter, you will play an important role in the construction of custom residential homes in the Jasper area. You will work alongside our team and trades to deliver high-quality workmanship while maintaining Casmans standards for safety, quality, and professionalism.

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you should have:

  • Carpentry certification or equivalent combination of training and experience
  • Experience in residential construction, with custom home building experience considered a strong asset
  • Sound knowledge of standard carpentry practices, methods, materials, and tools
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, plans, and specifications
  • Experience with framing, finishing, and general residential carpentry
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality craftsmanship
  • A valid driver's licence with 6 or fewer demerits and no major infractions
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Perform a variety of residential carpentry tasks throughout different stages of home construction
  • Construct, install, repair, and finish residential building components
  • Operate hand tools, power tools, and other construction equipment safely and effectively
  • Work closely with Site Superintendents, other carpenters, subcontractors, and members of the project team
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Follow all Casman safety policies, procedures, and site requirements

Physical Requirements

Applicants must be:

  • Safety conscious and committed to maintaining a safe work environment
  • Physically fit and capable of performing the physical demands of residential construction
  • Able to lift and carry up to 25 kg (50 lb)
  • Comfortable working in a variety of indoor and outdoor environments
