Job description

We are a professional staffing firm, working with organizations across the country to place exceptional candidates. Currently, we have a General Assistant opportunity with trusted leader in title insurance, settlement services, and risk solutions, consistently recognized as one of the Fortune 100 Best Companies to Work For. The General Assistant is responsible for the specific duties listed below.
Your specific duties will include:

  • Perform a variety of basic clerical duties following established instructions and procedures.
  • Complete high-volume scanning, stapling, document retrieval, filing, sorting, creating files, posting records, proofreading, data entry, and record maintenance activities.
  • Maintain simple to complex filing systems and records.
  • Compile, review, and verify Excel reports for accuracy.
  • Search, investigate, and retrieve information contained within files and records.
  • Process departmental documents requiring knowledge of functional operations and procedures.
  • Type correspondence and maintain documentation as needed.
  • Perform routine and repetitive tasks in a high-volume information processing environment.
  • Exercise judgment and discretion while performing minor to semi-routine clerical duties of moderate complexity.
Required qualifications for the position include:
  • Current Notary commission in Texas required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Excellent customer service and organizational skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Preferred qualifications for the position include:
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Outlook.
  • RON Certification experience as a plus.
  • Mortgage industry experience.
Pay Rate: $17.91 per hour
Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Employees have access to healthcare benefits including medical, dental and vision as well as a 401(k) plan.
