Who You Are 

As a Gas Piping & Generator Technician you will play a pivotal part in our generator installation services. You’ll be empowered to independently make complex technical decisions that consistently deliver safe, code-compliant, and professionally finished gas line installations with outstanding visual quality.

Essential Job Functions 

  • Install residential gas lines and perform pipefitting work in compliance with local codes for standby generator systems.
  • Assist with generator placement and preparation for electrical installation.
  • Conduct general plumbing/service calls and routine generator maintenance including oil changes, filter replacements, and system checks on an as-needed basis.
  • Perform timely, high-quality installations with neat, professional workmanship.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with homeowners and municipal inspectors.
  • Collaborate with electricians and team members to maintain a safe, efficient work environment.
  • Lift 50+ lbs and work in outdoor environments.

Required Qualifications 

  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent  
  • 3+ years of experience in gas piping, pipefitting, plumbing, or similar trades.
  • Journeyman License (required) 
  • Able to lift 50+ lbs and work in outdoor environments.
  • Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with fabrication or mechanical assembly.
  • Strong communication/interpersonal/customer service skills 
  • Positive, professional attitude and strong work ethic.
  • Ability to:
    • learn and adapt — we’re open to training strong candidates.
    • exercise independent judgment and make appropriate decisions 
    • organize and manage multiple tasks accurately 
    • climb into and through attics and crawl spaces 
    • dig/excavate in various soils
    • work outside and in extreme temperatures

  • Computer and technology savvy to input/update jobs into computer system
  • Reliable & punctual attendance 
  • Fluent ability to speak, read, and write in the English language 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Service Titan experience 
  • Generac Certified Technician

Compensation & Hours  

  • Pay: Hourly, incentive pay; some overtime may be required.
  • Hours: Generally 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m, Monday–Friday. Some jobs may require an earlier start or a later finish depending on distance or complexity. 

Candidates must successfully pass a drug test and background check.
