Generac is hiring a Product Manager to join their team with a focus on Interconnect Devices. This includes but is not limited to Interconnect Devices between Generators, Energy Storage Systems, EV Chargers, Utility Grid and the home residence. In this role you will have product ownership for these interconnected devices, ensuring they deliver customer efficiencies, enable growth and unluck new potential for the markets served by Generac.
This role is located onsite in our Pewaukee WI office location.
Major Responsibilities
  • Create and manage product roadmaps for individual product areas.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and prioritize product features, working with Firmware, Hardware and Systems and Controls teams.
  • Conduct basic market research and competitive analysis.
  • Assist in tracking product performance and identifying areas for enhancement.
  • Maintain regular communication with stakeholders on product updates.

Minimum Job Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent experience in Business, Engineering, or related field.
  • 3+ years of professional experience including at least 1+ years of experience in product management within a technical function
  • Ability to understand and communicate systems-level behavior (grid, power generation, backup power, load control)

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Skilled in fostering team collaboration and driving results.
  • focused on hands-on execution and operational management of a specific product area, laying the groundwork for broader product management responsibilities.

Preferred Job Requirements
  • Familiarity with product lifecycle management and agile methodologies.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
