Job description
Description The purpose of this position is to provide swimming instruction and communicate with the public for the City of Spartanburg. This is a permanent, part-time position. Examples of Duties Teaches swimming lessons to all ages.
Teaches swimming techniques, strokes, and water safety rules to students of different ages and abilities. Creates and adapts lesson plans according to students' needs and goals. Assesses students' progress and provides feedback.
Monitors students' safety and prevents accidents and injuries. Maintains a clean and organized pool environment. Maintains good public relations through aquatic services and facilities.
Prevent accidents in the water and on the decks. Provides enforcement of all rules and regulations as defined in Pool Operations. Receives and handles complaints providing assistance, information, and solutions as needed.
