Mechanical Engineer - Salem, OH - JOB 26-00434 Salary Range: $80K - $105K+ Full-time Permanent Position with Benefits Salem, Ohio area company is seeking a mechanical engineer interested in working both in-house and in the field. The duties of this role will include engineering, design, repair, modification, and service of material handling or lifting equipment REQUIREMENTS BS Mechanical Engineering 5+ years' in heavy industry/material handling/cranes/machinery design Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred, but not required Knowledge of CMAA, ASME, AWS, AIST, NEC and OSHA publications. Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, CREO, AutoCAD, etc.) including knowledge of drafting and detailing best practices. Travel is required at times to customer sites to fully understand the scope of the projects Past agriculture or industrial field experience desired 2D and 3D modeling software packages, drafting, engineering analysis & FEA stress calculations Working knowledge of gear boxes, drive trains, and weldments Thorough understanding of machine tolerances, fits, and finishes CAD proficiency and experience with MS Office Physical capability to stand for extended periods of time. Good communication skills and the ability to professionally interact with external/internal stakeholders Candidates are required to pass a Criminal Background Check and a 10 Panel Drug Screen.
