Job description

Symmetrio is seeking multiple Field Service Engineers on behalf of a growing outpatient radiology organization.

We're looking for a hands-on engineer experienced in MRI, CT, and digital X-ray systems. Someone who can work independently in the field, solve complex technical challenges, and deliver exceptional service to clinical teams. This role offers strong growth potential, competitive compensation, and the opportunity to work alongside highly skilled radiology professionals.

This is a full-time position based in Houston, TX. Relocation assistance is available for the right candidate. The salary range is $90,000-$120,000, depending on experience.

Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot, install, maintain, and repair MRI, CT, and digital X-ray systems.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and functional inspections to ensure optimal system performance.
  • Maintain accurate service documentation and records in compliance with company policies.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with site staff through excellent communication and follow-up.
  • Serve as a technical resource to peers and system operators, providing guidance on equipment performance and usage.
  • Collaborate with manufacturer representatives and clinical teams to resolve technical issues.
  • Participate in training programs to expand technical expertise and maintain OEM or industry certifications.
  • Support on-call coverage on a rotating basis, including occasional evenings or weekends.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of field service experience with MRI, CT, and/or digital X-ray systems; Siemens or GE OEM training is highly desirable.
  • Bachelor's degree in electronics, biomedical engineering, computer science, or related discipline (or equivalent technical/military training).
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across electrical, mechanical, and networking components.
  • Proven ability to work independently in clinical environments.
  • Customer-focused mindset with strong communication skills.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs and work in both standing and seated positions for extended periods.
  • Proficiency with service documentation, computer systems, and mobile tools.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and respond to on-call service needs.
