With multiple manufacturing facilities across North Texas and Phoenix, we are expanding rapidly and looking for top talent to grow with us

If you are ready to be part of a high-energy, solutions-driven team where your work makes an impact, Maverick Power is the place for you.

What We Offer:

  • Competitive Salary + Bonus Potential!
  • Paid Time Off, 401K Matching, Medical, Dental, and Vision Benefits!
  • High-growth organization with advancement opportunities!
  • Diverse, Collaborative, & Fun Work Environment!

About the Role:

Responsible for building quality into the process, not inspecting defects out at the end. This role supports the Director of Quality by leading daily quality activities, devloping people, stabilizing processes, and driving root-cause countermeasures using lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies. Quality at Maverick Power is everyone's job - but this role ensures the system makes it impossible to pass defects forward.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead daily quality management activities, including quality confirmation, identification, containment, and escalation of abnormalities.
  • Drive structured problem solving and root cause analysis; coach teams to implement countermeasures that address root cause (not symptoms) and verify effectiveness through data and follow-up.
  • Standardize and sustain quality processes by auditing work instructions against actual practice, maintaining quality standards and checkpoints, and implementing control plans and error-proofing.
  • Ensure all process changes are properly documented, communicated, and sustained over time.
  • Support supplier and incoming quality efforts by participating in supplier corrective actions, improving incoming inspection processes, and analyzing defect and trend data.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Purchasing, Engineering, and Production to align on quality standards and ensure clear, consistent communication across teams.
  • Lead, coach, and develop the Quality team by strengthening problem-solving capability, reinforcing Maverick Power values, and fostering a culture where issues are surfaced early.
  • Track, analyze, and improve quality KPIs; communicate performance to leadership using visual management with emphasis on leading indicators and process health.
  • Develop and mentor QC Supervisors to ensure processes are highly specified, connections are clear and direct, workflows are simple, and continuous improvement occurs at the lowest possible level.
  • Ensure QC Supervisors effectively train Team Leaders in standardized work, problem solving, and guided experimentation principles.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or 5+ years in manufacturing quality (electronics, telecom, electric power equipment).
  • Strong understanding of lean manufacturing, root cause problem solving, and work instructions.
  • Experience leading teams and cross-functional initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in engineered-to-order manufacturing/low-volume-high-mix environments.
  • Familiarity with quality tools and FMEA, PAPP, ISO 9001, etc.
  • Formal lean manufacturing training and quality certification (CMQ / OE, Lean / Six Sigma,etc.).
  • Proven ability to coach others, not just solve problems yourself.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds at a time.
  • Prolonged periods sitting, standing, walking, and performing repetitive tasks.
  • Prolonged periods standing on the manufacturing floor and sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must have vision correctable to 20/20 and be able to wear required PPE (hard hat, safety glasses, boots, gloves, etc.).
  • Duties are performed in a loud production setting subject to extreme temperatures. Some duties may be required to be performed outside.

Work Environment:
May work in various settings at the Maverick Power facilities, in offices, in multiple shops, and in commercial buildings. Maintaining the same position or posture while performing tasks and sitting for prolonged periods. The above-noted job description is not intended to describe, in detail, the multitude of tasks that may be assigned but rather to give the applicant a general sense of the responsibilities and expectations of this position.
