A GCCS Systems Engineer is an IT professional who specializes in the planning, implementation, and maintenance of the Global Command and Control System (GCCS). GCCS is a United States Department of Defense system that provides commanders with integrated situational awareness and command and control capabilities. The systems engineer ensures that GCCS hardware and software function optimally, are secure, and meet mission requirements. They may also be responsible for troubleshooting, upgrades, and supporting end users or military personnel.
