As a member of the Freight Forwarding team Kuehne+Nagel, you will play a key role in transporting goods, optimising processes, and fulfilling our customers' promises. The Air Export Gateway Agent is responsible for timely, cost effective movement of air export freight managed by the Air Export Gateway department as directed by the Supervisor and/or Manager. The position is responsible for processing of MAWB consolidations, set trade-lanes encompassing all aspects of the ATA process. Operational experience in the airfreight industry including but not limited to prior experience with warehousing/ airline/ GHA/ freight forwarder Air Export Gateway operations.

How you create impact
  • Provide excellent customer service and on-going commitment to quality and data integrity
  • Prepare, handle and process documentation needed for air export consolidations
  • Interact and collaborate closely with the air export departments in the region
  • Arrange bookings with carriers; optimize cargo consolidations
  • Ensure timely processing and delivery to the airport; constant communication with the warehouse team and truck dispatch during the consolidation process
  • Track & trace shipments; monitor vendor performance; address and resolve service irregularities
  • Contribute to maintaining strong relationships with vendors and internal customers
  • Maintain compliance standards at all times, including internal policies and procedures, external government regulations and customer requirements
  • Meet key performance indicators (KPIs) to support department, branch, product and company goals
  • Responsible for daily updating and monitoring of reporting tools
  • Understand department process flow, constantly looking for areas of improved efficiency
  • Support pricing team on rate quotes
  • Perform other duties as assigned
