ROLE & SCOPE:

The Gas Service Technician is responsible for installing, repairing and maintaining gas meters, regulators, gas lines and gas appliances. Testing for gas leaks. Working on boilers, ovens, gas fireplaces, gas-fired refrigerators, hydronic heating systems, and related. Installing and connecting appliances to gas, water, and electrical supplies.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • 1. Must pass the EEI CAST Test.
  • 2. This position will require the satisfactory completion of a pre-screening (for new hires), completion of company training programs, evaluations and written test.
  • 3. Qualified applicants must pass a pre-employment/pre-placement drug test in accordance with D.O.T regulations.
  • 4. Must possess a valid Driver's License and maintain a clean driving record.
  • 5. High School Diploma or GED required. Vocational, mechanical, or plumbing training is highly preferred
  • 6. Ability to work independently and outdoors in all types of varying weather conditions. Must be physically capable of walking long distances while carrying gas meters/tools.
  • 7. Must have 2 years of related mechanical experience, gas utility experience preferred.
  • 9. Must have a history of safe working habits.
