Do you have a passion for safety, solving unique challenges, driving efficiency and operational excellence? Air Products is seeking a Gen Gas Site Supervisor for its Sherman, TX and Durant, OK generated gas facilities.

The Gen Gas Site Supervisor plays a key role within the Industrial Gases South Subregion. This incumbent will have day-to-day responsibility for a broad range of duties focused on ensuring all aspects of operational discipline are in place and function properly for both facilities. The successful candidate will build strong relationships with the plant, distribution, and regional support teams, as well as contractors. The position collaborates with the Central IGNA South maintenance team, and reports to the Midlothian Area Manager in the Industrial Gases Southwest Subregion. The Sherman, TX facility consists of two HPN plants supplying gaseous nitrogen to our onsite customer. The Durant, OK facility produces high-purity gaseous oxygen and hydrogen, which are transported via pipeline to our onsite customer.

Required Skills / Abilities:
  • A self-starter with proven leadership abilities
  • Self-led and highly motivated to plan and ensure the execution of all tasks required by our safety, environmental, and engineering standards
  • Ability to work well independently with equal ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Demonstrated proficiency in computer skills
  • Mechanical aptitude with strong troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent time management skills with ability to be proactive and flexible
Key Job Responsibilities:
  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to safety, including Basic Safety Performance (BSP) compliance and process safety management.
  • Administer EH&S standards to ensure the protection of personnel, the community, and the environment.
  • Direct and monitor facility operations to efficiently meet customer requirements.
  • Provide leadership to effectively identify and apply global best practices and work processes.
  • Complete all administrative responsibilities for the site.
  • Support all aspects of the day-to-day operation, including troubleshooting plant process or mechanical problems, coordinating maintenance activities, driving plant efficiency, and executing plant projects.
  • Provide 24/7 on-call response to plant alarms and shutdowns.
  • Identify maintenance concerns and develop and implement corrective and preventive measures while working within planned maintenance budgets.
  • Work and communicate regularly and effectively with the North America Operating Service Center (OSC), asset manager, regional maintenance manager, technical support team, and area manager.
  • Promote and maintain strong customer relations through superior reliability and effective communication.
Minimum Hiring Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 5+ years of relevant industrial operations/maintenance experience.
  • Strong mechanical, electrical, or instrumentation aptitude.
  • Experience with operation of gen gas and/or air separation fractional distillation processes is a plus but not a requirement, as training will be provided for the successful candidate.
