Job description

Summary

FourPoint Resources is lookingfor a Measurement Technician to ensure that contract obligations and lease agreements are complied with regarding the scheduling of meter test, calibration verification of the gas meters, proving of liquid meters, inspection of the meter tubes, and natural gas sampling in accordance with the BLM, State of Utah and FourPoint's measurement policies and procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Abide by all health, environmental, and safety programs and policies
  • Work to ensure safe and optimized execution of measurement standards
  • Routine calibration, sampling, and proving, of oil, gas and water meters
  • Troubleshoot and repair issues associated with oil and gas related meters
  • Perform Maintenance on O2, H2s and dew point analyzers (Spectra and AMI)
  • Download and submit digital gas and oil recordings to production techs monthly
  • Preform meter tubes inspection
  • Troubleshot radio communications
Other Duties and Responsibilities

Education, Skills and Experience Required
  • High school degree or GED equivalent required
  • Formal education & training in electronics required (e.g., associates, etc.)
  • 5+ years of experience in lieu of degree will be considered
  • 1-year gas and oil measurement experience required
  • Experience in instrumentation of the following is required:
    • Emerson/Rosmount products
    • Endress Hauser products
    • Schneider Products
    • ABB products
  • Experience in the following control platforms is required:
    • Schneider Electric SCADApack (Telepace, Remote Connect,Realflo)
    • Beijer LOI products
    • Rockwell Software, RSLogix 5000
    • ABB PCCU
    • Crimson Software (RedLion)
    • FB Connect
    • RocLink
  • Experience in Radio Communication, Networking and Telemetry is required
  • Mustbe able to work independently with little or no supervision
  • Must have strong interpersonal skills to work with company personnel, oversee outside vendors, and contractors
  • Must have strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Energetic self-starter who enjoys working in a collaborative in-office team environment
  • Will be accountable for the condition and care of assigned company property
  • Interactions with all operations to include Water Facility Operators, Lease Operators, Production Coordinators, Completion Coordinators, Engineers, roustabout crews, local regulators, landowners, and members of the public
  • Will be required to manage in-house workers and contractors
  • Work schedule will be the company office schedule (9/80 and on-call rotation)
  • Good driving record and a current driver's license
  • Safety-sensitive position subject to pre-employment and random drug and alcohol screening
  • Required to oversee contractors working overtime and weekends as business demands necessitate
Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to react to potentially dangerous situations quickly and appropriately
  • Standing, walking, lifting up to 50 lbs., bending, visual acuity, hearing, speaking
  • Must be able to climb 15 foot high ladders and stairwells
  • Must be able to change a flat tire or chain up tires in adverse weather conditions
Environmental Conditions
  • Works outdoors approximately 95% of the time
  • Works indoors in office approximately 5% of the time
  • May be exposed to and must be able to drive in adverse weather conditions (snow, rain, ice, wind, heat, flooding, etc.)
  • May be exposed to constant noise, H2S fumes (less than 10 ppm), and high pressure natural gas
