Job Summary
The Measurement Analyst II is responsible for supporting accurate, timely, and compliant hydrocarbon measurement data within BKV's upstream operations. This role validates and analyzes gas and liquid measurement data, investigates discrepancies, supports production reporting and allocation processes, and partners with field operations, accounting, and other stakeholders to resolve measurement-related issues.
The Measurement Analyst II works with moderate independence, applies sound judgment to routine and moderately complex measurement matters, and demonstrates accountability, professionalism, collaboration, and continuous improvement in alignment with BKV's values and culture.
Responsibilities
Typical job responsibilities of the Measurement Analyst II include:
  • Validate, analyze, edit, and reconcile daily and monthly gas and liquid measurement data to support accurate production, allocation, and reporting processes.
  • Review measurement exceptions, meter balances, volume variances, gas quality data, calibration records, and other source data to identify discrepancies and initiate timely resolution.
  • Partner with measurement technicians, field operations, production accounting, revenue accounting, and commercial teams to research and resolve meter, data, allocation, and reporting issues.
  • Maintain measurement data integrity within applicable systems by reviewing imports, validating edits, monitoring exception queues, and supporting system setup or configuration updates as needed.
  • Prepare, review, and distribute routine measurement reports, including production balances, volume statements, exception reports, and supporting documentation for internal stakeholders.
  • Support compliance with applicable company procedures, contractual requirements, and industry measurement standards by maintaining accurate records and escalating issues appropriately.
  • Assist with internal and external audit requests by gathering measurement records, researching data questions, and providing clear documentation of findings and corrective actions.
  • Identify opportunities to improve measurement workflows, strengthen data quality controls, reduce manual effort, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills
  • Working knowledge of gas and liquid measurement principles, volumetric calculations, allocations, meter balancing, and production reporting concepts.
  • Ability to analyze measurement data, investigate variances, identify root causes, and recommend practical corrective actions.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, and the ability to learn and use measurement, SCADA, production accounting, and reporting systems.
  • Basic understanding of industry measurement standards, field measurement practices, hydrocarbon sampling, meter testing, and data validation controls.

Education & Experience

  • Minimum of two years of experience in oil and gas measurement, production accounting, data analysis, field operations support, or a related analytical role; equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions
  • Work is primarily performed in a professional office environment with regular use of a computer, phone, and standard office equipment. • This role may require occasional travel to field locations, meetings, or training events and may require collaboration outside normal business hours to support operational deadlines or issue resolution.
