Job description

Job Description MAI Client Deliverables is responsible for the pre-work and project setup, as well as providing field support for active projects. This group ensures quality control of field data and performs post-processing of all collected datasets. Client Deliverables also prepares accurate and complete reports and deliverables that meet client requirements and expectations. The service line works closely with project managers, field personnel, and client representatives to ensure consistent execution and high-quality results. The Dimensional Control Surveyor will be responsible for planning, executing, and delivering dimensional control survey services in the field and office, ensuring accurate measurement, data quality, and compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and client requirements. When not performing dimensional control surveys, you will work with our Client Deliverables team. Fugro will not provide work authorization/sponsorship for this job opportunity. Job Responsibilities
  • Lead by example and place Quality, Health & Safety, Security, and the protection of the Environment as core values while never intentionally placing employees, our processes, customers, or the communities in which we live and work at risk.
  • Conduct vessel offset surveys to verify and document the precise spatial relationship between survey sensors, reference points, and vessel structures in accordance with project specifications.
  • Operate Leica total station equipment to collect high accuracy positional data for dimensional control, alignment, and verification activities.
  • Establish survey control points using GPS to support dimensional control and positioning requirements, ensuring accuracy and repeatability of measurements.
  • Perform GNSS health checks to validate system performance, identify potential issues, and ensure positioning systems meet accuracy and reliability standards prior to and during operations.
  • Post-process survey data using Fugro Geodetic Calculator, Fugro COGO, and AutoCAD to compute coordinates, apply corrections, generate final datasets, and produce survey drawings and deliverables that meet client and project requirements.
  • Ability to analyze technical and operational issues and apply sound judgement to resolve problems
  • Ability to anticipate project needs and align field activities with operational objectives
  • Ability to train, mentor, and lead field staff to ensure safe, consistent, and high-quality work
  • Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements
  • Authorized to work in the United States, without restrictions.
  • Possess or be able to obtain a valid passport, possible international travel/assignments required.
  • High school diploma required, Degree in Geomatics, Land Surveying, Civil Engineering or related field preferred.
  • Have 2 years or more experience with dimensional control surveying, with having both data collection and post processing experience.
  • Must be proficient in AutoCAD.
  • Possess strong working knowledge of computers and fluent in a variety of software applications (including but not limited to MS Office).
  • Advanced knowledge of Windows operating system, including but not limited to Windows 7.
