Job description

As a CPI Quality Assurance Inspector, you complete the final inspection of each product to ensure parts and finished products meet CPI quality standards.

If you’ve ever wondered what owning your own business is like, just ask an Employee Owner of Chatsworth Products (CPI). Better yet, become one! CPI has an immediate need for a Quality Assurance Inspector in CPI’s Georgetown location on 3rd shift.

As a CPI QA Inspector, you will occupy a key role in working with and for a company that builds the physical infrastructure that powers, protects and secures the world’s digital technology. Day to day, you will complete the final inspection of products before they leave the production floor.  Inspection includes verification of all components on the Bill of Material (BOM), requirements on the drawing, and verification of cosmetic specification before product is ready for packaging. Documents the result and activities in inspection records such as checklists, inspection logs, ERP, non-conformance material reports, etc. You will participate in continuous improvement activities.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Inspects manufactured, purchased, and returned parts against drawings, BOM, cosmetic specification, and/or other specifications.
  • Pay attention to the details and ensure products meet specified quality level. .
  • Communicate quality issues/concerns with management and engineering team before approving product for customer shipment. If required, request deviation from engineering team.
  • Apply inspection approval sign and document inspection results for records keeping purpose.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

Technical Competencies

  • High School Diploma (or equivalent) required, some college experience preferred.
  • Ability to navigate in CAD software programs.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office computer software experience.
  • Ability to read engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Advanced knowledge and use of measuring devices.

Physical/Environmental Requirements

  • Frequent sitting, standing, walking, carrying, stooping, and crouching.
  • Life up to 50 lbs.
