Job Description

Cintas is seeking a Senior Garment Manufacturing Engineer to help shape the future of apparel manufacturing through automation, process improvement, and smart factory technologies. In this role, you will partner with manufacturing teams, suppliers, and technology providers to identify opportunities, implement innovative solutions, and improve operational performance across our garment manufacturing network. You will play a key role in driving efficiency, quality, reliability, and continuous improvement while leading projects from concept through implementation.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Lead automation and process improvement initiatives that enhance manufacturing efficiency, quality, and productivity.
  • Identify and eliminate manufacturing losses using Lean, Kaizen, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Develop and maintain a strategic roadmap for automation and manufacturing technology solutions.
  • Conduct technical and financial evaluations of new projects, including feasibility studies, ROI analysis, vendor assessment, and implementation planning.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate emerging technologies and innovative manufacturing capabilities into operations.
  • Analyze equipment and operational data to improve reliability and support predictive maintenance strategies.
  • Establish, monitor, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure project success and operational improvements.
Skills/Qualifications

Required:

  • Technical degree or equivalent experience in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Automation Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience leading automation projects in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience applying Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Demonstrated success evaluating and implementing automation or smart manufacturing technologies.
  • Experience performing capital equipment justification and ROI analyses.
  • Strong project management, communication, and change leadership skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 25%, including international travel as needed.
  • Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.

Preferred:

  • Experience in apparel, garment, textile, or related consumer goods manufacturing.
  • Experience with system integrators, robotics, machine learning, or advanced manufacturing technologies.
