Join the dynamic team at 66 Hardware Company, a family-owned group of Ace Hardware Co-ops with 5 stores in North Texas and 2 stores in Oklahoma. As a Seasonal Garden Associate, you’ll gain valuable hands-on experience caring for plants, assisting customers, and supporting a vibrant garden center. Enjoy employee discounts and the chance to work with motivated, community-focused colleagues in a supportive and personal setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Water, feed, prune, and care for a variety of plants daily to keep them healthy and thriving
  • Maintain a clean, tidy, and safe Garden Center by raking, weeding, and organizing
  • Unload shipments, verify accuracy, and price garden merchandise accurately
  • Assist customers in selecting plants and provide knowledgeable, friendly service
  • Load and carry plants, soils, and garden decor to checkout and customer vehicles
  • Inspect plants for quality, health, and pests, reporting issues to management
  • Work weekends and special events with a positive, outgoing attitude

Qualifications & Physical Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
  • Ability to stand, walk, lift up to 40 lbs and work outdoors in summer heat safely
  • Past gardening experience and general plant knowledge preferred but not required
  • Ability to work weekends, evenings (no later than 8 p.m.) and holidays.
  • Strong teamwork, accountability, and service oriented attitude.
