What are garage doors?

Garage doors are large doors that provide access to a garage, typically used for storing vehicles and other items. They can be operated manually or with an electric motor and remote control. Garage doors come in various styles, including sectional, roll-up, tilt-up, and side-hinged, and can be made from materials such as steel, wood, aluminum, or fiberglass. The choice of garage door often depends on factors like security, insulation, cost, and curb appeal.

To thrive as a Garage Door Technician, you need mechanical aptitude, knowledge of electrical systems, and experience with hand and power tools, often supported by a high school diploma or relevant technical certification. Familiarity with garage door opener systems, diagnostic tools, and safety equipment is typically required. Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and effective customer communication set top technicians apart. These abilities ensure safe, efficient installation and repair, while also providing excellent service to customers.
