Job description

At Pfizer, our purpose is breakthroughs that change patients' lives. As we modernize our employee experience, our GTM and Adoption team helps turn digital investment into real impact by eliminating adoption barriers, driving high-impact engagement, and ensuring the new digital platforms we launch become embedded into how our colleagues work.

The Digital Learning Experience & Gamification Lead ensures that once a new tool launches, colleagues can build operational capability rapidly and frictionlessly through learning innovation. Rather than one course for everyone, this role architects a system that adapts to each colleague, letting beginners start with fundamentals while advanced users test out and skip ahead, with content available in multiple formats so people learn however works best for them.

Designs learning for behavior change, not just knowledge transfer. Completing a module isn't the same as being ready, and skills fade without reinforcement, so this role decides what to teach before launch, in the flow of use, or as a later refresher, and determines which personas need real training versus a well-timed tip.

This role builds organizational capability by designing scalable learning systems that help colleagues develop, apply, and sustain the skills required for successful digital adoption.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

Learning Leadership & Capability Development

  • Establish enterprise learning frameworks, standards, and best practices that support adoption and workforce capability development.
  • Build organizational capability through scalable learning architectures, enablement strategies, and reusable learning assets.
  • Facilitate knowledge sharing and peer learning opportunities that strengthen long-term proficiency and adoption outcomes.
  • Prepare colleagues and stakeholder groups for new ways of working through targeted capability-building and reinforcement strategies.

Adaptive Learning Pathways

  • Own the strategy and governance of adaptive learning journeys that personalize training based on learner proficiency, readiness, and role-specific needs.
  • Ensure colleagues receive the appropriate level of enablement, enabling experienced users to accelerate while providing foundational support for those building new skills.

Sequencing Learning Across the Launch Lifecycle

  • Define learning strategies across the product lifecycle, including pre-launch readiness, onboarding, in-product guidance, and post-launch reinforcement.
  • Partner with Product, Experience Design, and Activation teams to integrate learning requirements into release planning and adoption strategies from inception.
  • Establish audience-specific learning approaches that align training modalities and timing to user needs, business objectives, and adoption milestones.

Multi-Modal Content Delivery

  • Own a multi-modal learning ecosystem that delivers content through video, audio, interactive experiences, simulations, and self-directed learning formats.
  • Ensure learning experiences are accessible, engaging, and adaptable to diverse learning preferences and work environments.
  • Lead the development of short-form learning experiences that simplify complex capabilities into concise, actionable content.

Scaffolded Gamification Design

  • Define and evolve the gamification framework for enterprise learning experiences, leveraging challenges, achievement systems, and recognition mechanisms to increase engagement.
  • Create differentiated progression pathways that support both novice and advanced learners through appropriately scaled experiences.
  • Use gamified experiences to reinforce skill development, sustain participation, and encourage continued platform adoption.

Differentiated Assessment Engines & Readiness Signals

  • Establish assessment frameworks that measure knowledge acquisition, practical application, and demonstrated proficiency.
  • Define readiness signals that distinguish training completion from true capability and operational preparedness.
  • Implement reinforcement and retention strategies that sustain learning outcomes and long-term behavior change.

Interactive & Hands-On Sessions

  • Lead live, interactive enablement experiences that promote peer learning, knowledge sharing, and practical skill development.
  • Create engaging forums where colleagues can explore real-world use cases, solve workflow challenges, and build confidence applying new tools and technologies.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Media Production, Instructional Design, Communications, or a related field with at least 6+ years of experience; OR a Master's degree with more than 5+ years of experience
  • 6+ years of experience in digital learning, video production, or interactive content creation.
  • Experience establishing learning frameworks, enablement standards, or reusable capability-building approaches across multiple teams or business units.
  • Demonstrated ability to prepare colleagues for new ways of working through learning strategies, reinforcement models, and behavior-change techniques.
  • Experience designing adaptive or differentiated learning experiences, including pre-assessment-driven pathways and multi-modal content (video, audio, text, hands-on simulation) for the same material.
  • Working knowledge of adult learning and behavioral economics principles, with experience applying them to reduce learning burden and reinforce behavior change over time rather than relying on one-time training events.
  • Experience designing varied assessment methods (quizzes, scenario simulations, project-based evaluation) to validate proficiency, and distinguishing content completion from genuine readiness.
  • Strong camera presence or live facilitation skills, with the ability to host dynamic, high-energy digital events.
  • Knowledge of gamification principles and how to apply them to adult learning or software adoption, including scaling game mechanics to a learner's skill level.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Background in modern educational technology (EdTech) or online content production.
  • Experience with adaptive learning platforms or competency-based education models.
  • Experience partnering with product and communications teams to sequence learning, onboarding, and launch messaging into a single adoption plan.
  • Experience building gamified learning paths within enterprise learning systems or digital adoption platforms.
  • Advanced video editing and motion graphics skills.
