What is a games associate?

Games Associates are employees who work at amusement parks, arcades, fairs, or similar entertainment venues, operating and overseeing games of chance or skill. Their main responsibilities include explaining game rules to guests, ensuring fair play, distributing prizes, and maintaining a fun, safe environment. Games Associates often interact directly with customers, encouraging participation and providing excellent customer service. To thrive as a Games Associate, you need customer service skills, basic math abilities, and a high school diploma or equivalent. Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems, ticketing software, and safety protocols is typically required.
