Job Title: Games Associate
Job Summary: Games Associates are responsible for the safe operation of the games they are assigned to. They are also responsible for ensuring game sales meet daily per-capita sales goals.
Job Responsibilities:
- Report to work 30 minutes before the park opens in the correct uniform, name badge and properly groomed.
- Display a positive, cooperative attitude toward coworkers and guests.
- Encourage guests to participate in games and "host" them while playing.
- Advertise and "sell" the game you are assigned to.
- Meet daily Per-Capita Sales Goals.
- Ensure proper cash handling procedures are followed at all times.
- Count out cash at the beginning and end of each shift.
- Only operate games you have been trained to operate.
- Ensure no Park Employees participate in any game of skill regardless of if they are on or off-duty.
- Communicate effectively with Games Supervisor for all areas pertaining to the job, especially for negative Guest interactions, as well as lost items.
- Maintain a clean work area.
- Performs other related duties as required.
Education/Experience:
- Attending high school.
- High school diploma or GED certificate is preferred.
- Previous experience performing in front of groups is strongly preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to push, pull, carry and lift up to 25 lbs. consistently.
- Physical exertion such as frequent bending, twisting, stretching, stooping, and reaching overhead.
- Standing and walking for long periods on surfaces such as uneven surfaces and hard flooring.
- Varying work hours.
- Working outdoors in all weather conditions in a wide range of temperatures.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Display a willingness to learn.
- Ability to establish priorities, works independently, and proceeds with objectives without supervision.
- Good communication skills.
- Display an outgoing, energetic personality.
Safety:
- Promote and practice safe work practices at all times.
- Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as needed.
- Adhere to company, state and federal safety standards and regulations.
