Job description

Come join a team that has a variety of retail and fun! Merchandise and Games employees are responsible for not only selling products at our merchandise locations, but also motivating the guests to play games through engagement.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS 

- Cordially greet and interact with guests. Assist guests in determining type of merchandise desired 

- Interact with guests to create an environment that encourages the guest to play the game 

- Provide information in person and via telephone regarding products, services of retail stores and general information within the park 

- Demonstrate or explain to the guests how the game is played to ensure that the guests fully understand the rules of the game and exactly what constitutes a “win” 

- Collect fee for playing game and supply guest with game equipment, such as toss rings or balls 

- Set up products in the stores and carts 

- Receive and retrieve boxed stock to or from stockroom/understock areas for retail display and sales promotion. Clean and repair booths, and keep equipment in serviceable condition 

- Monitor inventory and make sure shelves are stocked through out the day 

- Answer questions that guest may have regarding product

- Receive payment of cash, credit card, checks or travelers checks and make correct change 

- Wrap or bag merchandise for guests 

- Distribute prizes to customers who win games 

- Perform all job duties in a safe/responsible manner 

- Perform other duties as assigned 

JOB SPECIFICATIONS 

- Must have reliable transportation 

- Must have full availability including weekends and holidays 

- Must have good communication skills 

- Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s 

- Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume and distance. 

- Must be able to get to “hard to reach” areas; stooping; bending, crawling may be required 

- Must have the following abilities to satisfactorily perform the Essential Job Functions: 

  • carrying, pushing, pilling, lifting, gripping, grasping and holding objects weighing at least 50 lbs  

  • occasional sitting, prolonged standing or walking 

  • occasional bending, kneeling and reaching above shoulders 

  • following written and oral instructions 

  • Utilizing strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills 

  • performing basic math functions 

  • problem solving with minimal supervision 

  • organizing and prioritizing to meet deadlines 

  • Offers of employment may be contingent upon passing a substance abuse screening test and/or criminal background check
