JOB SUMMARY
The IT Technician ensures smooth operation and accessibility of computer system resources, including back-office systems, front-of-house systems, telecommunications, and networking.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provides onsite information technology support for the entire gaming facility
  • Installs new hardware, such as personal computers, printers, servers, phones, network equipment, etc.
  • Installs and troubleshoots company approved software, web applications, and connectivity issues by utilizing general IT knowledge and working with vendor support personnel when necessary
  • Performs routine maintenance on supported IT systems as required, including running backups, editing system data, running reports, etc.
  • Creates and maintains end-user accounts and permissions as required, providing desktop support
  • May perform basic installation and programming of telephone system, copy machines, printers, etc.
  • Assists with programming copiers for scanning and emailing documents
  • Assists with necessary changes to telephone system hardware and cabling, setting up new accounts when necessary
  • Educates users to reduce recurring issues by offering solutions to problems in a proactive manner
  • Trains staff in the use of new or changed systems
  • Ensures data integrity by keeping system and security rights updated while maintaining confidentiality of privileged information
  • Maintains inventory of all computer-related equipment
  • Provides guest service to internal and external guests
  • May support Audio/Visual systems
  • Performs other duties as assigned

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and effectively communicate with guests, co-workers and management
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries, complaints, or service requests in a timely and efficient manner
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of software and web applications as well as system hardware

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Development, or related field preferred
  • Two to three years of work experience in information technology or related field
  • Must obtain valid gaming license, where applicable
