Job description

The Rose Gaming Resort is a $480 million gaming and entertainment complex destination, located alongside I-95 in Dumfries, Virginia. Along with exciting gaming action, The Rose Gaming Resort provides a luxury hotel, eight bars and restaurants, a space for meetings and events, 50,000+ square foot gaming space and over 1,650 Historical Horse Racing machines, and over 80 acres of green space. The Rose Gaming Resort generates an estimated $35.5 million in annual tax revenues and employs more than 500 team members.

JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for the collection and count of gamesโ€™ cash boxes from the gaming floor and the cash and ticker count conducted in the count room in accordance with company Internal Control Policies and Procedures as well as state regulations. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

In addition to the other duties described herein, each Team Member has the following responsibilities related to compliance with laws and regulations.

โ€ข    Attend required training sessions offered by the Company. 
โ€ข    Obtain and retain required license(s).
โ€ข    Perform the duties described in compliance with local laws and regulations.
โ€ข    Take the necessary steps to ensure minors are not allowed to gamble or loiter in gambling areas, drink alcoholic beverages, or purchase tobacco.
โ€ข    Have knowledge of the ordinances, regulations, laws, policies, and procedures relating to the Team Memberโ€™s department. 
โ€ข    Have knowledge of the Propertyโ€™s programs to address problem gaming.
โ€ข    Report any acts of wrongdoing of which the Team Member may have knowledge.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES

1.    Provides next-level guest service to internal and external guests. Demonstrates #AddLife culture in all interactions with guests and co-workers.

2.    Responsible for fostering an environment of support and motivation for Team Members.

3.    Maintains confidentiality of all privileged information in accordance with established procedures with company policy and state regulations. 

4.    Performs drop by collecting drop boxes from slots and table games in strict adherence to Internal Control Policies and Procedures. 

5.    Records accurate count of each box in count system/sheet and reconcile amounts with other count Team Members.

6.    Complies with all department and company policies, procedures, internal controls and government regulations.

7.    Prepares all necessary paperwork to support and reconcile all money and vouchers collected and counted.

8.    Works with count machines and coin rollers in accordance with departmental and manufacturer guidelines.

9.    Assists other count Team Members in moving the box cart with a maximum four hundred (400) pounds, multiple times per week.

10.    Counts and verifies all bundled and loose cash transactions to and from the cashier.

11.    Resolves problems that are within the position's scope of authority and recommends courses of action to resolve problems that are beyond the scope of authority to the positionโ€™s supervisor.

12.    Keeps position supervisor informed of relevant activities.

13.    Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or GED certificate required. Experience in cash handling environment preferred. Experience in Microsoft Office applicants and menu-driven programs preferred.
