Position Overview

The Foley Entertainment Group Graduate Assistant, Broadcasting, will work closely with the full-time broadcasters of the AHL's Henderson Silver Knights (HSK) to enhance broadcasts through on-the-air and behind-the-scenes work. This role will also serve as a PR and social contact for the Indoor Football League's Vegas Knight Hawks (VKH).
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Serve as pregame, intermission and postgame host for the radio broadcasts of AHL's Henderson Silver Knights
• Edit audio highlights and interviews from HSK broadcasts
• Edit and post episodes of additional HSK audio content, including podcasts
• Post periodic updates to the VKH social channels in the off season
• Manage VKH social channels during all home and away games
• Attend VKH practices and serve as a media contact
• Assist in managing content on team websites
Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Broadcasting, Journalism, or a related field
• Relevant work experience with a professional or collegiate sports team preferred
• Creative team player that works well within a group
• Positive, versatile, organized individual who can handle several responsibilities at once
• Embraces the VGK culture and no-ego approach
Physical Requirements
• The physical requirements described below are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this role, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Frequently remain in a stationary position and operate a computer and other standard office equipment for extended periods.
• Frequently communicate and exchange information with employees, business partners, and vendors in person and through electronic channels.
• Occasionally move about the workplace and between work areas to attend meetings, support testing, or coordinate projects.
• Occasionally lift, carry, or move equipment and materials weighing up to 25 pounds.
• Visual ability sufficient to review digital content, code, interfaces, and detailed information on computer screens.

• This is a full-time, temporary position performed primarily in a professional office and arena environment at Lee's Family Forum.
• The role regularly uses computers, mobile devices, and standard office equipment and may include exposure to moderate noise and activity associated with a sports and entertainment venue.
• The work schedule may vary based on business needs and may occasionally include evenings, weekends, holidays, events, or game days.
• This position may require occasional travel to other FEG locations or events.
