Escapology is a premium escape room experience at Belmont Park, where guests step into immersive, story-driven adventures. Each game challenges players to solve puzzles, uncover clues, and work together to escape before time runs out. Game Masters are at the heart of every experience, guiding guests and ensuring each game runs smoothly.
Your Role as a Game Master
As a Game Master, you create the foundation for an engaging, smooth, and memorable guest experience. From welcoming guests and setting the stage to monitoring gameplay and resetting rooms, you ensure every group feels supported, immersed, and excited from arrival through departure.
What You'll Be Doing
Create an Unforgettable Guest Experience
  • Greet, check in, and assist guests throughout their visit
  • Deliver clear pre-game instructions and introduce themed experiences
  • Engage with guests before, during, and after gameplay
  • Respond professionally to guest questions and resolve concerns with a positive approach
Run the Games
  • Monitor and operate multiple escape room games at the same time
  • Provide guidance, hints, and support during gameplay as needed
  • Troubleshoot minor technical issues to minimize interruptions
Keep the Experience Sharp
  • Reset escape room environments quickly and accurately between games
  • Follow detailed reset procedures to ensure consistency and immersion
  • Maintain clean, organized, and guest-ready rooms and workspaces
Support the Team
  • Assist with opening and closing duties as assigned
  • Follow all safety standards, policies, and procedures
  • Collaborate with fellow team members to keep operations running smoothly

Requirements
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to stand and walk for up to eight hours at a time
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
  • Ability to push, pull, bend, stoop, and move equipment as needed
  • Ability to climb stairs
  • Ability to work in a noisy environment
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors, including exposure to varying weather conditions such as heat, humidity, cold, and rain

Skills/Qualifications:
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
  • Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly guide and instruct guests
  • Ability to write clearly and concisely
  • Basic math and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to remain calm and professional in challenging guest situations
  • Able to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Strong attention to safety and guest well-being

Testing/Work Authorization:
  • Valid U.S. work authorization required.
  • Must be 16 years of age or older.
  • Applicants 18 and older will be required to complete a background check upon receiving a conditional job offer.

Expected Hours of Work:
Flexible availability is required, including nights, holidays, and peak seasons. Team members must maintain open availability for at least two of the three weekend days: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
