With over 163 million followers and 45+ billion views across YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok, our videos receive more than 1 billion views each month.
We produce several hours of original content weekly with messages of compassion, kindness, and altruism that resonate with viewers of all ages. Our stories tackle real-life challenges and deliver powerful life lessons that resonate with global audiences.
Founded by Dhar Mann, named the "Moral Philosopher of YouTube" by The New York Times, a Time Top 100 Creator, and ranked #2 on Forbes' 2025 Top Creators list-our founding principle is simple but ambitious: We're not just telling stories. We're changing lives.
BIG PICTURE:
We are seeking a dynamic freelance Writer for our Main YouTube Channel:
Dhar Mann Studios. This is a creative role for someone experienced writing across digital platforms, who has their finger on current trends, fully integrated into Gen Z culture and language, and who has a passion for content creation within the intersection of fast-turn digital storytelling. This individual will be responsible for ideating and scripting new content for our channels, taking concepts from greenlight through completed script. They must showcase strength in pacing, dialogue, and strong visuals, with comfortability in writing to screenplay format.
Why This Role Matters:
Dhar Mann Studios continues to change the game of scripted storytelling. And we're eager to find skilled writers who will help us power our mission of spreading good. We have a global audience of all walks of life, and as a family-friendly brand, much of our content is catered towards broad family audiences and bringing people together in co-viewing environments.
Our stories matter. And we want you to help us tell them.
HOW YOU'LL SPEND YOUR TIME:
  • Crafting high-impact ideas, expanding pitches into full story outlines, and scripting original series against daily and weekly deadlines, for premiere across all Dhar Mann Studios channels.
  • Collaborating with Showrunners, Script Managers, Analytics Teams, and Production to brainstorm, iterate, compose, and elevate existing and future content, owning the responsibility for taking a concept through all stages of the creative process: Ideate, Beat Sheet, Script, and Polish.
  • Tracking varied platform trends, audience behavior, viewer feedback, and story formats that are actually working, showing capability in instilling learnings immediately into future scripts.
  • Helping to build a pipeline of commercially viable content without losing brand voice or our dedication to moral-driven storytelling for modern audiences.

WHAT YOU HAVE:
  • 5+ years of experience writing scripted content within the digital space. A bonus if this has been for creators and has garnered millions of views. Links to published content are required for application consideration.
  • Fluency in pitching creative concepts using this
    or a similar method.
  • Deep expertise in digital platforms (including YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, vertical microdrama applications, SVOD/AVOD/FAST, audience retention mechanics, thumbnail/title/hook mentality, and creator-led programming).
  • Ability to outline high-quality scripted concepts quickly and consistently.
  • Proven expertise in YA content.
  • Experience in fast-moving, deadline-driven creative environments with the ability to juggle multiple projects at once.
  • Genuine alignment with DMS culture: mission-driven, high-output, collaborative, and audience-focused.
