Job description

Bent Creek Golf Course is seeking a Ranger! Qualified candidates will thrive in a hospitality-focused environment and be highly attentive to delivering superior service to members and guests.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Greet members and guests promptly upon arrival at the driving range or tee box.
  • Manage tee times and ensure timely starts to maintain pace of play.
  • Replace and refill club cleaners with fresh water as needed.
  • Remove trash from the tee line, backroom work areas, and golf shop, disposing of it properly.
  • Maintain regular communication with the Golf Shop and Bag Drop team.
  • Provide assistance to golfers as needed, offering a high level of service.
  • Report any issues or concerns to the Head Golf Professional promptly.
  • Follow safe work practices at all times.
  • Distribute scorecards, pencils, and other supplies as needed.
  • Inform guests about course conditions and expected pace of play.
  • Support and enforce all course policies and procedures as communicated by management.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or manager.
  • Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Valid driver’s license (required for operation of golf cars or range equipment).
  • Strong work ethic and dependability.
  • Friendly and professional demeanor; enjoys working with the public.
  • Highly organized and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong guest service orientation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Physical Demands:
  • Frequently: stand, walk, talk, hear, and use hands.
  • Regularly: reach with hands and arms.
  • Occasionally: climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, sit, taste, or smell.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to work in varying outdoor weather conditions.
Preferred Skills and Knowledge:
  • Ability to read and speak English (may be required for safety and communication with members and team).
  • General knowledge of the game of golf is preferred.
