Position Summary
The Mile High City Hype Squad (promotional team) position focuses on the game night activities of the Denver Nuggets Game Presentation Department, assisting with in-game promotional activities and entertainment, team-related special events, as well as all pregame preparations. Activities include rolling and tossing t-shirts, starting cheers in the crowd, moving promotional items on-and-off the court, assisting SuperMascot Rocky, and other duties as assigned. On game days, the promotional team will need to arrive at least two hours prior to the start of each game and work through the completion of the game and tear down. This is a seasonal part-time position with employment concluding at the end of the 2026 -2027 Denver Nuggets season.
Essential Functions/Responsibilities
  • Serve as a Denver Nuggets brand ambassador by encouraging crowd participation and generating excitement throughout the arena.
  • Work closely with Game Presentation staff to ensure seamless execution of game presentation elements.
  • Support pregame, in-game, and postgame operations, including the setup, movement, and teardown of promotional equipment and game presentation elements.
  • Assist with the execution of in-game entertainment, contests, promotions, and fan activations
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects to different locations
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must be able to work 90% of Nuggets home games for the 2026-2027 season.
  • Must be available for auditions on August 17, 2026

Performance Requirements/Skills
  • Interest in professional sports, live entertainment, promotions, or event operations.
  • Ability to follow direction and work collaboratively with multiple supervisors and teammates.
  • Comfortable working in front of large crowds.
  • Must be personable, enthusiastic, and very outgoing.
  • Dependable, adaptable, and able to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced team-oriented environment.
  • Dance, tumbling, emceeing, mascot, or other live entertainment experience is a plus, but not required.

Education/Experience
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Over 18 years of age by August 1, 2026

Working Conditions & Physical Demands
Game nights may require prolonged standing, bending, stooping, stretching, lifting, throwing, etc. Occasionally lifting of sponsorship items weighing up to 50 pounds. Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity enough to get around the arena, up and down stairs, and perform manual labor. Requires normal range of hearing and eyesight to record and communicate appropriately with team.
