Job description

The Miami HEAT Game Operations department is looking for an energetic, self-motivated, responsible, and dependable Game Presentation Assistant for the 2026/27 Miami HEAT season. As an assistant, you will collaborate with all areas of Game Operations and off-site events. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: game day activation support, special event coordination, inventory tracking, and Jr. HEAT camps/clinics.
Responsibilities
  • Assist Game Presentation with game night duties, including implementing in-game promotions and coordinating game-to-game contestants.
  • Collaborate with department staff on setup and breakdown of events, such as pre-game and post-game activations, auditions, and other special events.
  • Work with HOOP Troop and Burnie in preparation for game day setup, community events, and other related events.
  • Support all Jr. HEAT camps, clinics, and events. Set up, prepare, and break down.
  • Track and maintain HEAT marketing inventory. Sustain the cleanliness of the marketing cages, as well as the marketing trailer.
  • Other Duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to take direction, meet deadlines, support multiple high-level positions, and balance multiple tasks
  • Must be available to work all HEAT home games, select weekend events, and evenings as needed
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Enrolled in a college or university or graduated from a 4-year accredited college/university.
  • Heavy lifting of 50+ pounds will be required at times
  • Marketing, event planning, and project management experience preferred
  • Fluent in Spanish is a plus
  • Must have a high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations and information.
  • Demonstrate poise, tact, and diplomacy.
  • Strong teamwork aptitude required.
  • Strong customer service skills required.
  • The ability to work independently and coordinate multiple tasks.
  • Stand/Sit/Walk for long periods of time
