Position Summary

The Athletics Game Day Assistant plays a vital role in creating a positive game-day experience for student-athletes, coaches, officials, and fans. This position assists with event setup, scores table operations including scoreboard and book-keeping, customer service, and facility management before, during, and after athletic contests.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with setup and breakdown of athletic venues, including signage, tables, equipment, and seating.
  • Help operate the scoreboard, game clock, music, or public address system.
  • Capture photos and post on social media.
  • Monitor facilities to maintain a safe, clean, and organized environment.
  • Assist with post-game cleanup, equipment storage, and venue reset.
  • Provide excellent customer service while representing the athletic department in a professional manner.

Qualifications

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work evenings and some weekends.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with large crowds.
  • Basic knowledge of athletics and sporting events.
