Job Title: Game Day Staff - (Full Season)
Business Unit: Wheeling Nailers Hockey Team
Department: Game Operations
Reports To: Manager of Game Operations & Activation
Are you passionate about sports and interested in pursuing a career in the sports industry? The Wheeling Nailers are seeking highly motivated individuals like you to join our team for a year-round staff member opportunity.
About the Position:
As Game Day Operations Staff, you will play a key role in enhancing the fan experience during all Wheeling Nailers home games. This role will provide you with valuable experience in game day operations, event planning, and fan engagement. You will work closely with our team to help conduct in-game entertainment and production, ensuring that every fan has a memorable experience.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Assist with game operations and execution of Live Game Entertainment (fan interactivity, anthem singer, in-game promotions, liability forms)
  • Setup and breakdown of intermission games / gameday materials
  • Set up giveaways and promotional items for the night
  • Provide a fun, energetic atmosphere in the arena through cheering, fan interaction, and commitment to the role
  • Assist with tabling for game nights
  • Operate music or lights during pregame, during game, and postgame
  • Open to adaptability, change, and spontaneous activities

QUALIFICATION STANDARDS:
  • High energy and demonstrated ability to work in fast paced multidisciplinary team environment
  • Ability to make quick and effective decisions
  • Ability to work weeknights, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • Previous experience in sports or event management is a plus but not required
  • Required to work playoffs April-June unless excused by supervisor
  • Interest in sport industry
