Job description

DESCRIPTION
Game On is looking to add a Floor Manager to the team at our renowned, out of this world bar located at Tuscan Village in Salem, New Hampshire. We have a stellar team, a fast paced work environment with a high income potential and awesome food and beverage program. It's truly a great place to work
Floor Manager responsibilities at Game On will include, but are not limited to:
  • Opening the restaurant
  • Running floor shifts
  • Blocking and assigning server sections
  • Interacting with guests to assure pleasure in their visit
  • Seating patrons
  • Working with the hosting staff to keep track of reservations to maximize throughput and ensure guests seating requests are honored and that reservations are sat promptly
  • Running food and interacting with chef, sous chef, cooks, dishwashers and food runner
  • Assisting the service staff with running cards and cash handling
  • Assisting the bar as needed
  • Ensuring capacity limits are adhered to
  • De-escalating issues with or between guests and assisting the security staff to ensure the safety of all staff and patrons
  • Ensuring that the values of mutual respect are followed by our staff towards each other and guests without discrimination

To be successful in this role, you must be familiar with restaurant operations, have a good knowledge of food and beverage, always be willing to learn more and understand where your blind spots are, and of course have a good understanding of what makes for great customer service. You should also be available to work within opening hours, including weekends, late nights and holidays, you should have familiarity with POS systems, reservation software NH Crowd Control rules. Busy bar experience is a major plus.
Ultimately, you will help minimize operating costs, boost our employee retention and deliver a positive experience for our guests and excel in being promoted through our company, the opportunities are endless.
