Job Summary:
AGBO is an artist-led independent studio shaping the future of film and television. As a Senior Level Designer, you will play a key role in bringing game worlds to life through gameplay design and visual storytelling, collaborating with various teams to create engaging player experiences.
Responsibilities:
• Design and develop greybox levels and test maps to support gameplay exploration, pacing, and player experience.
• Integrate environment art assets into gameplay spaces, ensuring strong composition, readability, and support for visual storytelling.
• Collaborate closely with combat, systems, and engineering teams to help implement gameplay scenarios while maintaining performance targets and player flow.
• Partner cross-functionally to support the implementation of shared environment assets and contribute to consistent world-building across environments.
• Contribute to worldbuilding, space planning, and the development of modular design approaches.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Required:
• 5–8 years of experience in level design and/or environment art roles, preferably with hybrid experience; bonus if you've supported or contributed to a live service game.
• Strong worldbuilding instincts with a solid understanding of gameplay space design, player flow, and environmental storytelling.
• Proficiency in Unreal Engine 5, with hands-on experience in both greybox design and art implementation workflows.
• A strong eye for layout, lighting, and visual clarity in 3D environments.
• Comfortable collaborating across disciplines—design, art, and engineering—and contributing effectively within a team environment.
• Experience working on action, narrative, or exploration-driven titles.
• Familiarity with modular asset workflows and real-time optimization techniques.
