Job description

THE POSITION
Our roster has an opening with your name on it

FanDuel is seeking a Lead Product Manager to drive the strategy, development, and execution of agentic AI-powered capabilities across marketing operations. In this role, you'll own the full product lifecycle of an innovative, AI-driven marketing automation system that leverages AI and API capabilities to orchestrate internal and external vendor platforms for marketing campaigns

You will translate business objectives into compelling product strategies, lead cross-functional teams, manage complex vendor integrations, and champion the adoption of agentic AI principles to unlock new efficiency and scale in FanDuel's marketing engine. This is a high-visibility role that sits at the intersection of product strategy, marketing technology, data, platform operations, and AI innovation.

You bring both ambition and pragmatism: you think big about what agentic AI can enable for marketing at FanDuel, but you're grounded in the realities of technology, execution, vendor relationships, and organizational change.

In addition to the specific responsibilities outlined above, employees may be required to perform other such duties as assigned by the Company. This ensures operational flexibility and allows the Company to meet evolving business needs.

THE GAME PLAN
Everyone on our team has a part to play

  • Roadmap & Strategy: Define and execute the product roadmap for agentic campaign ideation, execution orchestration, and measurement intelligence across the central marketing platforms
  • End-to-End Ownership: Own the full product lifecycle-from discovery and requirements definition through launch, monitoring, and continuous optimization
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Lead collaboration across Product, Engineering, Marketing Operations, and Commercial teams to ensure successful delivery and adoption of AI-powered capabilities
  • Vision & Direction: Establish a clear vision for how MCP-based agentic systems can streamline campaign workflows, reduce manual handoffs, and measurably improve campaign performance and team velocity
  • Translation & Requirements: Translate complex technical concepts (MCP, agentic AI frameworks, vendor APIs) into clear business narratives and actionable product requirements
  • Vendor Integration Strategy: Manage integration strategy and relationships with internal platforms (CDP, analytics) and external vendors (marketing automation, creative AI, attribution), ensuring seamless data flow and compliance
  • Success Metrics: Define success metrics (KPIs, OKRs) for AI-driven campaign capabilities, including adoption, efficiency gains, campaign lift, and time-to-market improvements
  • Operating Model Excellence: Champion best practices: document handoff protocols, define phase gate entry/exit criteria, establish dependency risk frameworks, create reusable playbooks

THE STATS
What we're looking for in our next teammate

Core Experience

  • 7+ years of product management experience, with proven success in marketing technology platforms, martech operations, product lifecycle management, or SaaS product strategy
  • 5+ years demonstrating deep expertise in product development lifecycle best practices: discovery, requirements definition, roadmap prioritization, cross-functional delivery, and post-launch optimization
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with marketing technology ecosystems, including exposure to martech stacks, API integrations, data pipelines, CDP platforms, or marketing automation systems
  • 2+ years managing external vendor or partner relationships, including contract negotiation, vendor performance management, and third-party integration oversight
  • Experience in high-scale consumer digital products and/or marketplaces strongly preferred

AI & Technical Acumen

  • Working knowledge of Model Context Protocol (MCP) or agent-to-agent (A2A) architectures; ability to evaluate how MCP-based systems solve martech workflow challenges
  • Familiarity with agentic AI frameworks and understanding of how agents orchestrate multi-step marketing workflows across vendors, products, and platforms
  • Experience with prompt engineering and LLM application development (or equivalent exposure in AI-first product roles) with the ability to think clearly about AI model behavior, limitations, and guardrails
  • Technical curiosity and comfort with vendor evaluation frameworks for AI/automation tools; ability to translate between engineering and non-technical stakeholders
  • Demonstrated fluency in modern AI tools to enhance product management effectiveness, including research synthesis, PRD drafting, experimentation design, data analysis, and insight generation
  • Privacy and compliance awareness: working knowledge of data privacy regulations (CCPA, GDPR, state privacy laws) and ability to ensure AI-driven marketing capabilities respect user data rights, consent frameworks, and regulatory requirements

Leadership & Operating Model

  • Demonstrated ability to lead without direct authority across Product, Engineering, Design, Marketing, and Operations in a matrixed environment
  • Proven track record of building clarity in ambiguous contexts: defining roles, establishing accountability (RACI), codifying handoff protocols and playbooks
  • Strong stakeholder management: ability to align executives, peers, and individual contributors around shared product vision and trade-off decisions
  • Data-driven mindset with comfort building business cases, tracking KPIs, and iterating strategy based on evidence
  • Excellent communication: written and verbal skills with preference for clarity and conciseness; ability to distill complexity into actionable narratives
  • Bias for action: you'd rather test a rough prototype with stakeholders today than debate the "perfect" approach in meetings.

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with operating model assessments, RACI matrix design, or organization design frameworks
  • Knowledge of phase-gate product lifecycle models or similar governance frameworks
  • Background in responsible AI, AI governance, or guardrails for autonomous systems
  • Experience scaling product operations or building shared services in fast-growing organizations
  • Knowledge of sports and/or experience working within a heavily regulated industry is a plus
  • Don't check all the boxes? That's okay! We encourage you to still apply if you feel like you possess an adjacent skill set and are interested in learning more about this position.
