Attain Sports brings a community-focused, values-driven, and player-centric approach to connect diverse groups and create impact through the power of sports. The company was formed in 2021 and presents an affordable, family-friendly sports and entertainment portfolio that brings a commitment to community engagement, customer service, innovation, and the professional growth and development of its family of athletes and employees.
Attain Sports owns and manages four baseball teams: the Baltimore Orioles Double-A affiliate Chesapeake Baysox, the Baltimore Orioles High-A affiliate Frederick Keys, the MLB Draft League Aberdeen IronBirds, and the Atlantic League Professional Baseball Club Spire City Ghost Hounds. Additionally, Attain Sports is an owner of the United Soccer League (USL) Championship Club Loudoun United FC.
What We're Looking For
You must:
  • Be a current undergraduate or graduate student earning internship credit.
  • Commit to 300 hours between May-September 2026 (we're flexible on start and end dates)
  • Show up ready to be energetic, creative, and part of a team that keeps the ballpark buzzing every single game.

What You'll Do
Every Orange Ambassador gets hands-on experience with the Marketing & Promotions team. That means you'll learn how to:
  • Build and run single-game promotions
  • Help execute in-game entertainment
  • Get fans involved and excited
  • Assist with marketing, sales outreach, and community initiatives while the team is on the road
  • Help run game-day operations
  • Take on a variety of tasks that keep the ballpark moving

You'll also rotate through other departments to see how every part of a professional baseball organization operates.
Department Highlights
Ticketing & Group Events
  • Learn the ins and outs of our ticketing system
  • Help plan and run Baysox and non-baseball events
  • Assist with group outings and special event nights
  • Support the Group Sales and Ticket Operations teams with calling prospective fans

Marketing, Promotions, Community Outreach & Game Entertainment
  • Help coordinate pregame ceremonies (first pitches, anthem groups, color guards, and more)
  • Run on-field promotions and in-stadium entertainment
  • Assist with player and mascot appearances
  • Help with Kids Club events and new-member initiatives
  • Support school and education-based programs across MD and DC

Sponsorship
  • Help activate and support sponsor partners
  • Research new promotional ideas and partner leads
  • Help create and pitch sponsor-themed character promotions
  • Assist with Proof of Performance reports and sponsor events

  • Jumping into theme nights and ballpark celebrations
  • Standing on the dugout for birthdays and the Seventh Inning Stretch

As an Orange Ambassador, you'll spend your summer helping bring the Baysox ballpark to life. From hyping up crowds to running promotions to creating unforgettable moments for fans, this is your all-access pass to the world of professional baseball.

This is an unpaid internship opportunity designed to provide valuable hands-on experience. Participants are eligible to receive college credit for their work, subject to approval by their academic institution.
