Job Description Summary

The Athletics Game Technician performs technical duties at various sporting events, ensuring smooth operations and an exceptional experience for athletes, fans, and staff. This position is responsible for managing scorekeeping, timekeeping, game clock operations, and public address announcing during live athletic events.

Job Description

Essential Duties

  • Operate game clock, shot clock, and scoreboard systems during athletic competitions
  • Manage accurate timekeeping in accordance with sport-specific rules and regulations
  • Maintain and update scoreboard information including scores, fouls, timeouts, and other game data
  • Serve as public address announcer, delivering starting lineups, in-game announcements, sponsor messages, and presentations
  • Coordinate with game officials, coaches, and event staff to ensure accurate information broadcasting

Minimum Qualifications

  • Basic knowledge of rules and scoring for applicable sports
  • Must be available to work hours that vary based on the athletic event schedule and typically include evenings, weekends, and some holidays
  • Ability to learn and operate scoreboard systems, timing equipment, and audio equipment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience performing technical duties at various sporting events
