Summary

WesTech is seeking a Senior Business Systems Developer with Dynamics 365 Business Central as the primary platform.

This role works across multiple systems and technologies and partners directly with business stakeholders to deliver practical, scalable solutions. The position requires the ability to manage a variety of work, including development, support, and system improvements, while adapting to changing priorities. Priority will be given to candidates within commuting distance to Salt Lake City, UT. This position is not eligible for relocation assistance.

 

Candidates for this position may be required to pass pre-employment and periodic screenings, including background checks, drug and alcohol tests, or other necessary assessments.

 

Some of the work you will do: 

  • Develop and support solutions in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central
  • Work across multiple systems (ERP, CRM, SharePoint, reporting tools, and integrations)
  • Troubleshoot system and process issues across business workflows and data
  • Work directly with business users to understand requirements and refine solutions
  • Participate in testing, walkthroughs, and issue resolution discussions
  • Support system upgrades, enhancements, and continuous improvement efforts
  • Document technical solutions and support knowledge sharing across the team
  • Use approved AI tools (such as Microsoft Copilot) to improve efficiency and automate repeatable tasks where appropriate
  • Identify opportunities to streamline business processes and reduce manual effort

Here are the skills that you need: 

  • Bachelor’s and/or master's degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, or related technical discipline.
  • 8-10 years of experience working as a Software Engineer or similar position.
  • Experience developing for ERP (Microsoft Business Central)
  • Proven experience with or knowledge of:
    • Hands-on programming experience using relevant languages
    • SQL
  • Proven experience serving as technical lead throughout the full software development lifecycle, from conception, architecture definition, detailed design, scoping, planning, implementation, testing, to documentation, delivery, and maintenance.
  • A comprehensive understanding of computer science concepts.
  • Proven excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Proven experience in managing multiple tasks simultaneously, the ability to prioritize activities, and deliver projects on time and within budget.
  • Experience working with clients and business partners.
  • Attention to detail, proven problem-solving skills, and strong team-building skills.

  • 8-10 years of experience working and interfacing with customers during the software development lifecycle and managing projects.
  • Technical Certification(s)
    • PMP
    • ITIL

  • Ability to perform tasks while in a sedentary position using a computer and phone.
