Avalanche Software, a division of Warner Brothers Games Inc. seeks a senior level gameplay designer. Join the team who created Hogwarts Legacy, a new open world, action RPG set in the Wizarding World. You will work alongside other gameplay designers to develop moment-to-moment gameplay features that embody the vision and values articulated by the gameโ€™s directors.

Your Role Accountabilities
  • Design and implement verbs for both synchronous and asynchronous multiplayer gameplay
  • Collaborate with fellow designers, artists, and engineers under the direction of the Lead Gameplay Designer
  • Tune and balance gameplay elements
  • Participate in regular playtests, provide and receive constructive feedback
  • Maintain useful documentation of your designs and ensure there is always a single source of truth
Qualifications & Experience
  • 5+ years of professional experience in a design role
  • At least one shipped title in a professional design role; self-published independent projects for associate candidates
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Fluency with Unreal Engine 5, especially the gameplay ability system and blueprints
  • Passion for games, a positive attitude, and a sincere desire to learn
The Nice to Haves
  • Familiarity with one or more programming languages, especially C++
  • Deep knowledge of the online RPG genre
