Job description

This is a leadership position at AdvanceTEC. Project Managers are responsible to lead and oversee all aspects of assigned projects for budget, schedule, compliance, safety, quality, and overall customer satisfaction. Project Managers lead, guide and mentor project Construction Managers, Site Superintendents, Foremen, and Project Engineers with all phases of delivering projects for our clients from concept estimate through final commissioning, certification and close out.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for all aspects of the Project including teamwork across AdvanceTEC’s internal personnel and external project participants (suppliers, subcontractors, and customers).
  • Lead buy-out / procurement of projects, and support estimating and solicitations as needed.
    • Investigate and create bidders lists appropriate for each individual project.
    • Solicit subcontractor and vendor bids using bid packages and RFP’s.
    • Scrutinize bids for commercial and technical compliance to our bid packages / RFP’s
    • Organize bids and perform initial technical and commercial bid tabulation comparisons.
  • Provide Construction Managers / Project Engineers with support for successful projects.
    • Project logistics, safety and project site requirements (i.e. office trailer, support, signage, supplies, connectivity, etc.)
    • Project specific Specs located on Procore.
    • Project specific Drawings located on Procore.
    • RFI, submittal, and commitment documents located on Procore.
    • Establish a Material Tracking Log that is tailored to that specific project.
  • Establish and maintain key deliverables with the project team
    • Establish an integrated project schedule with predecessor and milestone dates.
    • Oversee project drawing revision, distribution, and dissemination to your project team.
    • Develop the submittal log and track submittals to facilitate the needs of the project.
    • Resolve RFIs from subcontractor and AdvanceTEC field team personnel.
    • Ensure meeting minutes are accurate and are distributed in a timely fashion.
    • Lead Subcontractor and Vendor change control as required throughout the project for design development, value engineering, and client scope requests.
    • Project Budget to be updated on a monthly basis and forecast to completion.
  • Assist the Project Team with project closeout and achievement of client satisfaction.
    • Oversee project closeout to ensure materials are provided to meet the clients needs.

Skills, Experience, and Qualities Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management or Engineering is strongly preferred.
  • Passion for technology, construction, and AdvanceTEC’s business community is required.

  • Ability to demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word/Excel/PowerPoint/Teams), Procore Microsoft Project/P6, Navisworks and Bluebeam are required prior to hiring.
  • Ability to read and understand construction drawings, specifications, and project documents.

Location and Travel Requirements:

  • This position will require travel to active project client sites. Project sites are typically located on the east coast of the United Sates but may be located in other regions in the US (i.e. Midwest, Southeast, West) or Canada based on ideal client projects that AdvanceTEC pursues and secures.

We cover 100% of the cost of your dental insurance, 100% of your long term disability premium, 100% of your short term disability premium, 100% of your life insurance premium. You will pay $100 per month for your Anthem PPO medical insurance (employee only plan). We contribute 3% of your salary to your 401k plan and up to 10% of your salary at the end of the year. In addition, you are eligible for an annual bonus, tuition reimbursement, gym membership reimbursement, AAA membership reimbursement, and 15 days of PTO in your first year.
