NFL FLAG Game Day Field Manager

Weekends – Friday Nights, Saturdays & Sundays | Locations Vary by Day

Position Summary

Just Compete Sports is seeking reliable, organized, and professional NFL FLAG Game Day Field Managers to oversee on-site league operations and help create a safe, positive, and well-organized game day experience.

Field Managers serve as the primary on-site representative for Just Compete Sports and are responsible for field setup and teardown, equipment and supplies, game day logistics, safety, issue resolution, reporting, and communication with coaches, families, officials, players, and league management.

We are looking for strong leaders on the field who are sports-minded, dependable, level-headed, confident in making decisions, and comfortable taking ownership in a fast-paced youth sports environment. The right person can stay calm under pressure, communicate professionally, solve problems quickly, and keep the field running smoothly.

Fall 2026 Schedule

The Fall 2026 season runs from mid-September through mid-November 2026.

Game days may take place on Friday nights, Saturdays, and Sundays, and assigned locations may vary by day.

Field Managers must also be available for required preseason training, weekly Google Meet calls, and assigned equipment or supply pickups.

On game days, Field Managers must arrive 90 minutes before the first scheduled game and remain approximately 30–45 minutes after the final game to complete closing responsibilities.

Candidates must have reliable transportation and be willing and able to travel up to approximately 20 miles to assigned game day locations, which may vary throughout the season.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee game day operations to keep events running safely, smoothly, and on schedule.

  • Set up and break down fields, equipment, signage, and supplies.

  • Transport and manage league equipment, supplies, and inventory.

  • Serve as the primary on-site contact for coaches, families, referees, players, and field staff.

  • Enforce league rules, policies, and safety expectations professionally and consistently.

  • Resolve game day questions, conflicts, and unexpected issues calmly and efficiently.

  • Coordinate scorecards, referee assignments, and other field logistics.

  • Monitor field conditions and address potential safety concerns.

  • Complete accurate post-game reporting, including scores, staff hours, incidents, inventory, and other required information.

  • Communicate delays, incidents, staffing concerns, and operational issues promptly to league management.

  • Assist with merchandise sales and maintain accurate transaction and inventory records.

  • Attend required trainings, meetings, and supply pickups.

  • Take ownership of assigned responsibilities from setup through closing.

Requirements

Candidates must:

  • Be dependable, organized, professional, punctual, and highly responsive.

  • Demonstrate strong leadership, communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.

  • Be sports-minded and comfortable working in a competitive youth athletics environment.

  • Be able to remain calm, level-headed, and professional when handling conflicts or unexpected situations.

  • Be comfortable working independently and making decisions in a fast-paced environment.

  • Complete all required training before independently managing a field.

  • Communicate professionally with young athletes, coaches, parents, spectators, referees, and staff.

  • Complete required reports, forms, score reporting, inventory counts, and other documentation accurately and on time.

  • Have reliable transportation and be able to transport league equipment and supplies.

  • Be willing and able to travel up to approximately 20 miles to assigned game day sites, with locations potentially varying by day.

  • Have a working smartphone and regularly monitor required league communication platforms.

  • Be comfortable using mobile apps, web-based systems, and Google Workspace, including Drive, Docs, Sheets, Forms, Gmail, and Meet.

  • Pass a required background check.

  • Be able to stand and walk for extended periods, potentially up to 12 hours on game days.

  • Be able to lift, carry, set up, and break down game day equipment and supplies.

  • Be comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.

  • Be available for the full season, including assigned Friday night, Saturday, and Sunday game days, required meetings, trainings, and supply pickups.

Preferred Experience

Previous management, supervisory, team lead, event operations, coaching, officiating, or sports league experience is preferred but not required. Experience with youth athletics, competitive sports, or team environments is a plus.

The Right Fit

Successful Field Managers are leaders who take ownership of their assigned field. They communicate consistently, stay organized, meet deadlines, remain professional under pressure, and step in confidently when something needs to be handled.

If you are sports-minded, dependable, comfortable leading others, and committed to creating a positive youth sports experience, we encourage you to apply.
